The Bad Friedrichshall Salt Mine is near the Heilbronn/Neckarsulm motorway exit (exit 37) on the A6. Take the B27 in the direction of Bad Friedrichshall/Mosbach until you reach the Bad Friedrichshall-Kochendorf exit. Once there, follow the signs to the "Salzbergwerk”. Free parking is available on site.

The salt mine is located on the Mannheim/Würzburg to Stuttgart railway at Bad Friedrichshall-Kochendorf station. From there, a 2-minute walk along footpath leads to the entrance of the Südwestdeutsche Salzwerke AG works.

You can also take the bus to the salt mine. In Bad Friedrichshall-Kochendorf, get off at the "Kochendorf Bergstraße" stop and the salt mine is an approx. 6-minute walk. For the shortest route, first cross Bergstraße and then Bahnhofstraße in the direction of the "Bad Friedrichshall-Kochendorf" railway station. The salt mine is right behind the station.
Getting there by bike:
Numerous cycle routes in the Heilbronn region (such as the "Salz & Sole" cycle path, the "Neckartal" or "Kochertal" cycle path) also take you to the salt mine by bike.
During your visit, you can leave your bikes in our bicycle parking area, and there are additional bicycle parking spaces at the nearby Bad Friedrichshall-Kochendorf train station. A RadSERVICE point is located in the immediate vicinity at the Kochendorf lock.
