Ethics audit

Südwestdeutsche Salzwerke AG is aware of its ethical responsibility and the ethical principles of the Ethical Trading Initiative are firmly rooted in the company.

The Ethical Trading Initiative is an independent body that promotes respect for workers' rights around the world and monitors the supply chains of affiliates and companies in accordance with an ethical code. The aim of the initiative is to improve working conditions worldwide so that all workers are free from exploitation and discrimination and can work and live in freedom, security and justice.

Ethical audits (Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit (SMETA)) have been carried out at the Bad Friedrichshall and Bad Reichenhall sites since 2013.
