the Bad Friedrichshall salt mine has been open since 1st May 2026. 

Visiting season 2026

The Bad Friedrichshall salt mine is not open to visitors every day, as it is still an active mining operation.

1st May to 3rd October 2026 inclusive
on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays only

3rd to 24th July 2026 inclusive,
and on Fridays 

Trips take place continuously every few minutes between 9.30 am and 3.30 pm (last admission). Please arrive by 3.00 pm at the latest to take part in the last trip underground.

All visitors must exit the mine by 5.30 pm.

The mine will be closed for the winter season from 4th October 2026.
