the Bad Friedrichshall salt mine has been closed since 4th October 2026 and will reopen on 1st May 2027. 

Visiting season 2027

The Bad Friedrichshall salt mine is not open to visitors every day, as it is still an active mining operation.

1st May to 3rd October 2027 inclusive
only on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays

Trips take place continuously every few minutes between 9.30 am and 3.30 pm (last admission). Please arrive by 3.00 pm at the latest to take part in the last trip underground.

All visitors must exit the mine by 5.30 pm.

The mine will be closed for the winter season from 4th October 2027.
