Bergschänke (miners’ canteen)

Visit the Bergschänke to fill up

The Bergschänke has served as a canteen and meeting room for the employees of the salt mine since the post-war period. The murals are reminiscent of the mining work of earlier years and lend the space an extraordinary atmosphere.

Up to 100 visitors can enjoy coffee and cake in the Bergschänke before or after they enter the shaft, along with a hearty midday meal, of course. Visitors can also stop off at the Bergschänke without visiting the salt mine.

The Bergschänke is located in the immediate vicinity of the King Wilhelm II shaft in Bad Friedrichshall-Kochendorf and has free parking in front of the salt mine site.

Larger groups are requested to pre-book by telephone on phone number opposite.
