Traditions

Mining traditions have played a special role at Südwestdeutsche Salzwerke AG for centuries.

Thus, in addition to the use of the old German miner's greeting "Glückauf” (good luck) and the miner's emblem "Schlägel und Eisen” (mallet and iron), the numerous activities and celebrations of the "Glückauf" 1885 e. V. miners’ association and the impressive performances of the miners' band are also part of it. This also applies to the activities of the Berchtesgadene Bergknappen (Berchtesgaden miners') guild and the Bergknappenkapelle Berchtesgaden (miners’ band).
