Südwestdeutsche Salzwerke AG is deeply rooted in the regions of the Heilbronner Land and Berchtesgadener Land, the home of its four corporate sites in Baden-Württemberg and Bavaria.

And not just proverbially, because in Heilbronn salt has been mined at a depth of around 200 metres for over 125 years and salt has been extracted in Berchtesgaden using the "wet mining process" for over 500 years.
